Page should stay

I don't have time to look at it right now, but I believe the Startup page needs to stay. There are many instances on the wiki, on the list server, and in outside e-mail discussions where the Startup committee is referred to directly, so there should be a page to point to. To see what links to a page from within the wiki, click the "What links here" in the left sidebar when on that page. Startup page was composed by one explicit section: its definition and how to join; three implicit: meetings, organization, admins; and no Talk page till now. Please see Community Portal as the new and more active Startup page, it is currently displaying meetings, admins, resolutions and to-do list (ex current work); and treating the organization theme. (All the corresponding redirections were done.) It has a link in the navigation bar, this is a nice thing.
After your message, I checked most of the references. They are used when offering definition and how to join. Both are covered from Participate page, what appears there is a short version (almost complete, I'll work on that today or tomorrow) of Startup page content. (Startup redirects to Participate.) This seems good to me because now we have an unique page at one click of distance from Main Page that shows all the sign up options.
(I could have redirected Community Portal to Startup and expanded this latter in time of the first, but... I didn't think of this! We can do it if you think it's better.) Matías Battocchia 17:23, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
