From Metagovernment - Government of, by, and for all the people

There could be some system implemented for translators. Many people translate text which is important for them, for example fansubbing groups. I know many people who do it just for some recognition in their community.

Makes sense. Are you offering to translate some of the Metagovernment site? :) At some point, we probably should start offering localizations. However, if Metasocre grows to govern a broad range of communities, I doubt that every community will want to localize into every language.
On another note, I have read some websites translated by Google, and found that I could get the general idea of what was being said. — Ed Pastore 01:34, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
Translating strings for the interface shouldn't be a problem, even for a wide variety of languages. Translating the text of resolutions may be more difficult. I'm not sure translated by Google will work for this, as their translation seems to be much better from other languages to English than the other way. I don't think we will have good translation services, because in order to be able to translate something properly, you have to understand the concepts. Until an AI has been developed, I don't see automatic translation being a solution. --Mbarkhau 12:24, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
