Is the \b needed at the end of the line? In the example iin the docs, they just show: \bexample\.com — Ed Pastore 21:31, 31 July 2012 (EDT)

The \b means word boundary. So \bexample\.com matches 'example.com' (which it should) but not 'goodexample.com' (which it should not). But I think \bexample\.com\b is more correct (yes), because it does not match 'example.commodity' and such. For real working examples (not all correct), I look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Spam-blacklist and http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Spam_blacklist. ~Michael Allan 15:43, 1 August 2012 (EDT)
